Friday, November 23, 2012  Edinburg Economedes took an early lead in their bi-district playoff game with Del rio, but the Rams scored 21 unanswered points to take a lead. The Jaguars came increedibly close to making a miraculous comeback of their own, but fell just short.

Friday, November 09, 2012  Edinburg Economedes needed not only to get a victory over La Joya Palmview in the final game of the season, but hope for a Donna win if the Jaguars were to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2004, and everything went the Jags' way.

Friday, November 02, 2012  In a battle of District 30-5A's top two running games, it was the Donna ground-'n'-pound style that reigned supreme in Edinburg, giving the Redskins a postseason berth while putting Economedes in a precarious playoff postion for the final week of the regular season.

Friday, October 26, 2012  Edinburg Economedes had a 12-point lead over city rival Edinburg with just over 8 minutes to play in the 4th quarter, and it seemed the Jaguars had the game well in hand. But Bobcat Pride reared it's head, and 15 unanswered points later, Edinburg found itself with a huge win and back in the 30-5A playoff hunt.

Tuesday, October 23, 2012  In a football game re-scheduled from a Thursday to Saturday it was a fight between a pair of teams trying to stay alive in the hunt for a play-off spot. Both teams in need of a win in this one and it was the Huskies from Juarez-Lincoln jumping out early to a lead. Economedes responded though with tough defense for the rest of the game and scored 17 in a row to win this 17-7.

Thursday, October 18, 2012  A sudden set of thunderstorms sweeping across the Rio Grande Valley played havoc with the local high school football schedule, postponing both games on the Thursday night schedule to Saturday evening.

Wednesday, October 03, 2012  Sharyland's only volleyball loss to a Valley team had been last month at Edinburg Economedes, so when the rematch came around, Rattlers star Elise Smith wanted to use the big game to do some bigger good. Smith made the game into a fundraiser for the RGV Diabetes Association, a cause close to her heart. The game raised some well-needed funds and provided Sharyland with some well-needed revenge, as the swept the Jaguars in Mission.

Friday, September 28, 2012  Sharyland went ahead early in their contest at Edinburg Economedes, but the Jaguars roarded back into the lead, setting off a back-and-forth offensive firework show that didn't end unto Rattlers quarterback Tres Barrera scored the final, winning touchdown with 17 seconds remaining in the game.

Saturday, September 22, 2012  After suffering their 1st loss in week 2 and losing their starting quarterback to injury for the season, Edinburg Economedes rallied to a victory in week 3.

Tuesday, September 18, 2012  Two Valley volleyball teams made big statements on Saturday, as Edinburg downed Econmomedes to take control of their destiny in 30-5A, and Mission Veterans staged an incredible comeback at Edcouch-Elsa to do the same in 32-4A.

Saturday, September 15, 2012  In a battle of unbeatens at Cats Stadium, Edinburg North jumped out to a lead over crosstown rival Economedes, then staved off a late Jaguars comeback for the one point victory.
