Saturday, April 20, 2013  Down 1-0 to Coppell after 60 minutes, the Brownsville Hanna boys soccer team scored twice within a 3 minute span to take a lead in the 5A state championship game. But one late goal by Chris Madden of Coppell sent the match to overtimes, and then with :53 remaining in the 2nd OT, Madden struck again to send the Golden Eagles home one win short of their ultimate goal.

Friday, April 19, 2013  The Golden Eagles of Hanna scored in the opening minutes of their state semifinal game with Alief Elsik, and that lone goal was all they needed for the win and a chance to play in the 5A championship game Saturday in Georgetown.

Thursday, April 18, 2013  The Brownsville Hanna boys soccer team is off to the state tournament for the 1st time since 1990, and the entire school came out to give the Golden Eagles a golden sendoff.

Saturday, April 13, 2013  After a scoreless 1st half against San Antonio Jay, the Hanna Eagles found their scoring touch just in time for a shutout victory, giving them not only the5A Region IV championship, but a ticket to the school's first Final Four appearance in 23 years.

Friday, April 12, 2013  It was Brownsville versus San Antonio on the 1st day of the 5A Region IV soccer tournament, and while Hanna advanced to the finals with a big win over MacArthur, Rivera was stymied by a stellar performance from the Jay keeper.

Thursday, April 11, 2013  The scholarships keep rolling in for the Brownsville Hanna girls cross country team, as Saira Gonzalez becomes the 4th Eagle to go Division One in the past year, signing with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Wednesday, April 10, 2013  Rio Grande Valley boys soccer teams have won 6 of the last 8 5A Region IV Tournaments, and the odds are good that either Brownsville Hanna or Brownsville Rivera will continue that trend against San Antonio teams in San Antonio.
