The day before he rejoined the Vipers, Antonio Anderson said he was trying to convince former teammate Garrett Temple to do the same, and Anderson was successful. Temple, along with former UConn Husky Stanley Robinson, will be added to the RGV roster the day after the finale of a 2-game sweep at the hands of the Austin Toros.

The Rio Grande Valley Vipers jumped out to a 36-23 first quarter lead, but the Austin Toros outscored the Vipers 60-39 over the next two quarters to beat the Vipers in a pre-season contest, 101-98, tonight at the South Padre Island Convention Center.

The Cavaliers brought Vipers leading scorer Jawad Williams to Cleveland, where they will sign the fornmer Tar Heel to a contract for the rest of the season.
Meanwhile, the Vipers had to play shorthanded in Austin, and came up one point short in the next-to-last road game of the year for the Valley's D-League team.
