Monday, July 16, 2012  After selling one of his Lone Star Football League franchises, the Laredo Rattlesnakes, to a Laredo doctor, Rio Grande Valley Magic owner Chad Dittman is now looking for a local co-owner in the Valley to help with finances. Tuesday, June 05, 2012  Wide Receiver Danny Young caught six touchdown passes and had 158 receiving yards to propel the Rio Grande Valley Magic to victory over the Amarillo Venom 74-73 on Saturday night at the Amarillo Civic Center. With the victory, the Magic improve to 5-2 on the season while Amarillo falls to 3-4.

Wednesday, May 30, 2012  The Rio Grande Valley Magic arena football team took sole possession of second place in the Lone Star Football League standings with an 81-49 shellacing of Laredo that featured 9 passing touchdowns from former Brownsville Porter star Billy Garza.
