Clay's Clincher: No Trips To Tijuana For ULB

Potros Not Joining United League This Season

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The Tijuana Potros said they were joining the United League on their website 3 weeks ago.

Then the United League website said that the Potros were taking on a ULB traveling team starting on July 2nd.

Then.... nothing.

Nathan Wright of the San Angelo Standard-Times got to the bottom of it all, and the upshot is, once again.. nothing.

The Potros couldn't afford the half-mil entrance fee, apparently. Not a surprise, they couldn't afford the coin it took to join the Golden League either, although that was reported to be the full million.

So, the Roadrunners and WhiteWings can cancel any plans they had to visit the west coast.
