How badly did the last Athletic Director at Texas-Pan American want out?

Days after tendering his resignation one year ago, Scott Street looked me in the eye and told me the reason he was leaving was to get closer to his ailing mother in the midwest. I wasn't the only one who heard that story.

Over a year later, how much closer is Street to Indiana? Oh, about this close.

Hope his Mom likes the beach.

We know one opponent for new men's head basketball coach Ryan Marks in his inaugural season with the Broncs, not bad as far as Big XII opponents go. I'm sure it's a decent payday, though not as nice as the sacrificial lambs who traipse into Lincoln during football season.

The game will be December 2nd.

All the kerfuffle about Texas Longhorns pitcher Austin Wood and his 169 pitches in the marathon with Boston College got me thinking: which Division I pitcher had the highest pitch count in a game this year?

Turns out I've been following him and his team all season. (Check out May 23rd vs Northern Colorado)

Manny Mantrana got no heat for letting his guy go 10 pitches further than Wood, Garrido was crucified in the media.

Seems there are advantages to coaching at UTPA.
