Tuesday, April 16, 2013  While many local golf fans might have expected Jose Pena of Sharyland to return to the state golf tournament for a second straight year, not many predicted Jacob rodriguez of tiny 1-A Lasara high school would be heading to Austin as well.

Monday, April 08, 2013  Sharyland alum Osiel Flores never stopped believing in himself, going from being a walk-on at UT-Brownsville to Division I UTPA, to being drafted by the Cleveland Indians. Now, the longtime catcher for the Edinburg Roadrunners has been hired as a roving catching instructor for the Pittsburgh Pirates after a chance meeting with a member of the Pirates front office.

Thursday, March 14, 2013  As Thursday night began, Edinburg North was ranked 18th in the state in Class 5A, but Sharyland was the team on top of District 30-5A. That all changed, however, as the Cougars grab a crucial road win in Mission.

Saturday, January 05, 2013  Edinburg Vela had the advantages; unbeaten in 30-5A and on their home floor. But Sharyland came in and gained a cruicial road victory that garnered them a 3-way tie for 1st place in district.
