Authorities have confirmed a multi-city chase that started in Pharr and continued all the way to a rural area north of Donna.

It all started near the U.S. Highway 281 interchange in Pharr and continued east on Expressway 83 just after 6 p.m. Thursday.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office is the lead agency in the investigation.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state troopers are assisting in the chase.

The chase was last reported on Roosevelt and Val Verde Roads just north of Donna.

It's not clear what sparked the chase but Action 4 News will provide more details as they become available.
