Two women are facing criminal charges after being accused of practicing the world’s oldest profession in downtown McAllen.
McAllen police arrested 51-year-old Nedelia Botello and 42-year-old Silvia Montes on prostitution charges on Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators told Action 4 News that officers arrested the two women on the 1600 block of Dallas Avenue.
Police said Botello is a McAllen resident while Montes is a Reynosa resident.
Both women appeared before a judge where they were both issued $1,000 dollar bonds.
