Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding a Valle Hermoso man who they say failed to appear in court in a child rape case.

The Cameron County District Attorney’s Office reports that 31-year-old Luis Alberto Bermudez is their Fugitive Of The Week.

Bermudez is wanted for failing to appear in court for aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the original incident happened in Harlingen back in October 2003.
