Authorities are investigating a case of road rage in Hidalgo County.

A driver led Palmview police on a chase around 10:32 a.m. after brandishing a weapon at a another vehicle and possibly shooting at another driver.

Police caught up to the suspects' vehicle, and both bailed out.

A short time later U.S. Border Patrol agents spotted the vehicle abandoned south of Farm market 492.  

Federal agents arrested the passenger, but the driver got away.

Palmview Police told Action 4 News charges are still pending against the unidentified man arrested.
