A rural San Benito man is behind bars after being accused of sexually abusing a little girl with a knife.
Cameron Count Sheriff's Department deputies arrested 60-year-old Juan Roberto Garza an aggravated sexual assault of a child charge on Wednesday.
Court records released on Friday revealed that a 6-year-old is believed to have endured years of sexual abuse.
Both Child Protective Services and the sheriff's department are investigating the case.
The investigation all started back on December 17th when a home health care provider allegedly saw a 4-year-old running out of Garza's room naked.
That 4-year-old girl told investigators that Garza had her touch him on his penis.
Investigators later talked to another girl who is now 6 years old and claims Garza would sexually abuse her between January 2009 and February 2012.
The girl allegedly told investigators that Garza would urinate on her, place a knife inside her private parts, make her watch porn and once even made her watch while he had sex with a woman.
Action 4 News does not identify victims of sexual abuse but the court records show the abuse took place at a home off FM 803 and Cactus Road just outside of San Benito.
The records show that Garza owns knives and had access to the girl through her family.
The girl told investigators that she would lock her door so Garza couldn’t “do bad stuff” and make her “feel bad.”
Garza appeared before Cameron County Magistrate Judge Alfredo Padilla on Wednesday where he was issued a $25,000 dollar bond.
Court records show that Garza had previous arrests for marijuana and burglary back in 1975 and 1980.
Garza remained in the Cameron County Jail as of Friday afternoon.
