A pick-up truck carrying a family of three rolled over in rural Willacy County this morning, momentarily knocking out power to portions of Lasara.

Willacy County Sheriff Larry Spence tells us it happened at around 6:11 a.m. this morning on Highway 186, about 3 miles east of FM 1015.

Authorities say they don’t yet know what caused the pick-up to roll over.

What they do know is a man, a woman, and a child were in the vehicle, which had Louisiana tags.

First responders were dispatched to the scene, but no medical treatment was needed.

As of now, power has also been restored to all the homes affected.
