Pharr police are searching for a man wanted in connection to a murder plot.

Jose Roberto Rea has an outstanding warrant for Criminal Attempt Murder.

He and other men, who are already in custody, had planned to kill a man at the Los Plebes Drive Thru early Saturday morning.

Police responded to the drive thru on the 6800 block of South Valdivia at 2:30 a.m.

When they arrived, officers learned that three men had driven up in a light brown Lincoln Town Car.

One of the suspects in the car began firing several shots.

Through an investigation, police learned that Jose Rea had planned to murder a man.

The case is still under investigation.
