$1,100 dollars taken in Harlingen pepper spray robbery

Authorities have confirmed that more than $1,100 dollars in cash was stolen in a robbery at a check cashing store where the suspect used pepper spray and tied up the clerk.
It all happened at the Check N Go at 910 Morgan Boulevard around 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Investigators told Action 4 News that a bearded man entered the store, used pepper spray on the clerk and tied her up.
The suspect took about $1,150 dollars from the drawer and ran off but was chased by officers responding to the hold up alarm.
Police said the suspect got away on Citrus Terrace Drive just a couple of blocks away.
Investigators have released surveillance camera images of the suspect in hopes of identifying him.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late 20s, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds.
