Car crushed by oil drilling equipment in 18-wheeler accident

Authorities are investigating an accident where an 18-wheeler flipped over and crushed a car killing two people and leaving a child hospitalized.
It all happened off Highway 281 and FM 490 around 5 p.m. Friday.
Edinburg police told Action 4 News that an 18-wheeler carrying oil drilling equipment was headed north on Highway 281 when the accident happened.
The 18-wheeler reportedly flipped over and landed on top of a Toyota Corolla, crushing it.
Investigators said three people were inside the car at the time of the accident.
54-year-old Viola Salas Martinez of Edinburg and her son, 17-year-old Jonathan Lee Martinez were pronounced dead at the scene.
Viola Martinez' 3-year-old grandaughter was taken to the hospital for her injuries. Her condition remains unknown at this time.
