Authorities are investigating a fatal Friday night motorcycle accident in Edinburg.

It all happened off Schunior Road and the southbound frontage road of U.S. Highway 281 late Friday night.

Investigators told Action 4 News that a motorcycle driver lost control, hit a curb and was ejected the bike.

Edinburg police said the man was not wearing a helmet.

The man's name was not released on Saturday morning but police said he was from Mission.

Investigators believe speed played a factor.
