Authorities are working to identify a body recovered from the waters of the Rio Grande early Tuesday afternoon.

It all happened near the Progreso International Bridge around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the body was found floating in the American side of the Rio Grande River.

The body has not been identified at this time and no cause of death has been determined.
