A Sunday morning fire claimed the lives of two Brownsville residents.

Brownsville Fire Chief Lenny Perez said the call came in at 7:05 a.m.

Responders rushed out to the home on 209 Dix St.

An elderly man and a young child were killed in the flames. Their ages are not known at this time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
