A family of four is salvaging what they can after a fire engulfed their Brownsville home.

It happened at 11 a.m. on Saturday at 37 Casa de Amigos.

The fire started on the back porch of the family’s home and then spread throughout the entire home.

The parents and the teens were not home at the time.

When they got back to the house, fire crews were already there to put out the flames.

In addition, winds blowing from the North caused the flames to threaten a second home, but firefighters were able to stop the flames from spreading spread.
