A Harlingen woman was arrested for attempting to steal two expensive items from a real estate company.
An employee for Commercial Real Estate Company called police to say that a woman had entered the office and taken the items.
They told police that the woman took a lion picture frame and a bronze statue that have a combined estimated value of $3,500.
The employee and a business partner had tried confronting the woman, but she ignored them and left the building with the two items.
Minutes later, her car was spotted by a Sergeant on Stuart Place Road.
Additional police units responded to the scene and the driver was pulled over.
She was identified as 51-year-old Cynthia Lynn Hopkins.
The picture frame and statue were returned to the owner, who planned on filing charges.
Hopkins bond was set at $10,000.
