Underage driver in critical condition after T-bone car crash

A 14-year-old was critically injured after a car t-boned another car Friday night in Harlingen.
The accident happened at 9 p.m. on the 800 block of Ed Carey Drive.
The teen was driving a white Honda Accord with a 40-year-old passenger.
They pulled over to the shoulder lane before attempting to make a U-turn.
According to Harlingen police, an 18-year-old in a Lexus was behind the Accord traveling in the same direction.
While the Accord was turning, the Lexus slammed into the side the car.
Both the driver and passenger in the Accord were taken to the hospital. The teen has been listed in critical condition.
