Fourth of July 8-liner robbery ends with two teens behind bars

Two teens are behind bars following the Fourth of July gunpoint robbery of an 8-liner arcade in San Benito.
San Benito police arrested 18-year-old Angel Quiroz and 19-year-old Andrew Meza early Wednesday morning.
The two allegedly robbed an 8-liner arcade off Travis and West Batts Streets around 12:38 a.m. Wednesday.
Investigators said Quiroz and Meza fled the scene with $200 dollars in cash but where found in the parking lot of a hotel off nearby Stenger Street.
Police charged both of them with aggravated robbery charges.
Investigators said officers also charged Meza with possession of a controlled substance and criminal mischief charges after finding he had three pills and after he allegedly destroyed a jail cell camera.
A San Benito municipal judge issued a $50,000 dollar bond for Quiroz and $60,000 dollars in bonds for Meza.
