Authorities have issued an alert after the home a state trooper was burglarized and the thief or thieves stole his uniform and gear.

It all happened at a home off FM 1015 and Mile 14 1/2 North over the weekend.

Investigators told Action 4 News that a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state trooper's home was burglary.

The suspect or suspects took his uniform and gear.

It's not clear if they stole his state-issued gun or what they intend to do with the stolen items.

Law enforcement officials issued a "Be On The Lookout" or "Bolo" alert on Sunday.
