A Brownsville man is behind bars after he allegedly dressed up as a woman and tried to get cash for sexual favors.

Brownsville police arrested 23-year-old Gilberto De La Cruz-Guerrero on a prostitution charge late Monday night.

Investigators told Action 4 News that a police officer was working undercover in downtown Brownsville.

De La Cruz-Guerrero allegedly approached the officer at East 12th and Washington Streets and offered oral sex for $20 dollars.

The officer arrested De La Cruz-Guerrero and took him to the Brownsville City Jail.

Bond information was not immediately avaiable.
