Armed carjacking in 'Little Mexico'

The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Saturday morning armed carjacking in the area known as "Little Mexico", south of Alamo.
Deputies responded to the call at about 3:50 a.m. at Pantera Drive, near the intersections of El Gato and Tower Roads.
According to dispatch, a man armed with a knife forced his way into a 2006 beige Ford Focus, then took off.
There was no information available as to whether a victim was inside the car, but deputies reported no injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office is now looking for the suspect, a man they describe as 5 foot 7 inches, weighing about 150 pounds and dark hair.
He was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
