Brownsville celebrates Earth Day

The city of Brownsville is hosting multiple activities over the weekend to celebrate Earth Day.

Saturday, the city kicks off a No-Gas Parage from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Linear Park across from the Courthouse and hosting a children’s No-Gas Parade contest at 10 a.m.

Farmers Market in Linear Park will be the site of a Healthy Kids Cook off from 9 a.m. till noon and an EarthFest concert from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m.

The University of Texas at Brownsville will be hosting a UTB Rock N’ Beats from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the school’s student union lawn.

Family members of all ages are invited out to help the city celebrate the environment and environmental programs.
