An argument about flushing the toilet ended with criminal charges for a 22-year-old Harlingen man.
Harlingen police arrested Efrin Patrick Harper on assault by threat and resisting arrest charges late Wednesday morning.
Investigators told Action 4 News that officers were called to a domestic disturbance at an apartment on the 1700 block of Morgan Boulevard.
According to a report, Harper threatened to assault his 24-year-old girlfriend following an argument about flushing the toilet.
Harper allegedly resisted arrest by tensing up, pulling away from officers and bragging about how strong he was.
A patrol sergeant reportedly convinced him to calm down and took him into custody.
Harper appeared before a Harlingen municipal judge on Thursday morning where he was issued a $1,000 dollar bond for resisting arrest and a $364 fine for assault by threat.
