During the holidays, Hannah Jamison has been busy raising money for the “Make A Wish” foundation.

“I’m just helping kids that are terminally ill,” she said.

Although she hasn’t met one of these kids she hopes to help, she’s researched a lot about them.

“They have leukemia and cancer and a lot of illnesses,” she said.

Her mission started when her father’s friend told her about terminally ill children, and she found out how she could help.

The “Make A Wish” foundation of the Rio Grande Valley is a non-profit organization that grants wishes for terminally ill children.

Some children have gone to visit theme parks, gone on a cruise, or have seen snow for the first time.

Hannah’s friends are lending a hand, asking for donations to contribute to the foundation.

They go door-to-door in their neighborhoods and even ask staff at their school in Alton to help the cause.

Hannah hopes her efforts can help grant wishes one dollar at a time.

The Rio Grande Valley “Make A Wish” chapter has granted over 600 wishes since it was founded in the ‘90’s.

Hannah has raised over 400 dollars so far, and she’s still collecting money.
