Authorities investigate possible double kidnapping in Starr County

At least one person is being held for questioning following reports of a double kidnapping in Rio Grande City.

Investigators told Action4 News it all happened off Chachalaca Street around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities said they received reports about two men being forced into a green 2003 Ford Expedition driven by a man and a woman.

One witness told Action 4 News that the victims were forced into the SUV at knifepoint.

Rio Grande City police told Action4 News that the SUV was found at a home off JM Martinez and Las Lomas Street.

Investigators found three illegal immigrants under a shed at the home.

Police are treating the case as an unlawful restraint case.
