A Harlingen man is behind bars after being accused of sexually abusing two sisters over a period for three years time.
It all started when a 14-year-old girl ran away from home back on September 21st.
The girl told police that 39-year-old Jaime Belmontes-Castro had inappropriate sexual contact with her.
Detectives learned that Belmontes-Castro had also been sexually abusing the girl’s 16-year-old sister.
The girls told police that the abuse would happen while they were sleeping and went on for at least three years time.
Action 4 News is not releasing Belmontes-Castro’s relationship to the girls due to a policy to protect the identities of victims of sexual abuse.
Police arrested Belmontes-Castro at his place of work off the 2700 block of East Harrison Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers charged him with aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child.
Belmontes-Castro appeared before a Harlingen municipal judge on Wednesday where he issued $90,000 dollars in bonds.
