A federal judge has postponed the sentencing for former 404th State District Court Judge Abel Limas and former Texas State Rep. Jim Solis.

Sentencing was set for Monday morning but U.S. District Court Judge has postponed the sentencing for Limas until December 2nd.

Court records show that prosecutors filed the request to postpone the sentencing.

In a motion filed in court, prosecutors said the FBI case file was so large that they need more time to go through it.

Limas is accused in a bribery and racketeering case where cash was exchanged for favorable rulings from the bench.

Nine other people, including former Texas State Rep. Jim Solis and two other attorneys, have been charged in separate cases.

Solis was scheduled for sentencing on October 12th but Judge Hanen postponed it until December 2nd also at prosecutor's request.
