A man is reported dead after being rescued from a Mission canal Saturday night.

It happened before 9:00 p.m. Saturday near Conway and Trinity.

Firefighters said the man was pulled from the canal unconscious and rushed to McAllen Medical Center.

Mission Police are now investigating.

They confirm the man died.

They said they will not be releasing any more details on the investigation until an autopsy Monday.

No word on how the man ended up in the canal.
