A Raymondville High School student is facing disciplinary action after bringing a gun to schoool.

It all happened on campus after lunch on Tuesday.

Raymondville Independent School District officials told Action 4 News that school officials recevied a tip about the student.

Authorities acted quickly, found the student and the gun.

Raymondville ISD officials said the gun was not loaded and that the student was taken into custody.

The student's name was not released but school district officials reported that the student will be disciplined and not allowed to return to campus.
