Rio Hondo High School closed following water line break

Students at Rio Hondo High School got let out of classes early due to a water line break late Thursday morning.
It all happened right before 12 p.m. Thursday.
Rio Hondo Independent School District officials told Action 4 News that it all started when a work crew was builng a fence.
The work crew hit a water line knocking out service to the high school.
School district officials said it would hours to restore service to the school, so officials decided to end classes early.
Officials reported that a gas leak also took place across town on North Reynolds Street.
A parent at the Lil' Texans Day Care backed their car up into a gas meter creating the leak.
Firefighters with the Rio Hondo Volunteer Fire Department quickly shut off the leak.
