A federal grand jury in Corpus Christi has indicted three men for stealing TNT and C4 explosives from a local police department storage depot.

Federal court records show that Elias Puebla, Christian Anderson and Guadalupe Buitron were indicted on Wednesday for conspiring to steal explosive materials.

The men are accused of stealing three pounds of TNT and four pounds of C4 explosives from storage containers at the old Corpus Christi Police Department shooting range in Annaville.

Corpus Christi police arrested Buitron and Anderson back on December 30th while Puebla was arrested on January 5th.

Police reported that they recovered the explosives off the Nueces River near the Labonte Park boat ramp.

It’s not clear if the men planned to go dynamite fishing or were engaged in another illegal activity.

The three men have been in custody since their arrests and are expected to be arraigned before a federal judge in Corpus Christi.
