Two men are behind bars following a gunpoint robbery and beer run at a convenience store in Lyford.
Lyford Police Chief Paul Campbell told Action 4 News it all happened at the Superette convenience store around 10:40 p.m. Tuesday.
Chief Campbell said three men dressed in black and wearing ski masks entered the store and displayed guns.
Two of them went up to the counter and demanded cash and took off with about $1,000 dollars.
The third suspect grabbed some beer and left.
Chief Campbell said Raymondville police arrested one of the suspect on an outstanding warrant.
When authorities went to his house, they allegedly found scatterred $10 dollars bills and empty beer cans.
Another suspect was also arrested at the house.
Chief Campbell said and investigation revealed that three more people were also involved in the robbery. They are expected to be arrested today.
Names and mugshots of the suspects are expected to be released later today.
According to VALLEYCENTRAL.COM archives, the Superette was also robbed back in August 2009.
