The sentencing for a Rio Grande Valley lawmaker has been postponed until mid-December.
Texas State Rep. Ismael "Kino" Flores (D-Palmview) was set to be sentenced on multiple criminal charges on Monday morning.
A jury in Austin found Flores guilty of multiple counts of tampering with government records and perjury back in October.
Court records show that sentencing for the case has been postponed until 9 a.m. on Monday, December 13th.
Flores did not seek re-election following the case filed against him.
His successor, Sergio Muñoz, Jr., is expected to be sworn in as the district's new state represenatative in the New Year.
