A judge in McAllen has put a repeat low performer on probation for the next 30 days for unsanitary kitchen practices.
La Mexicana on 4300 N. 2nd St. faces a potential $500 fine per violation on surprise inspections should they pop up.
The dirty diner is no stranger to Food 4 Thought.
We’ve exposed the popular eatery numerous times and even showed photos in the kitchen that people have called “gross.”
The business was temporarily shutdown for the second time this year by the health department.
La Mexicana was taken to court as a result.
A judge in the case warned the restaurant, one more strike and they’re out, according to a senior health inspector in McAllen.
