Two men are recovering from being shot during a double kidnapping outside south McAllen's Walmart on Sunday night.

McAllen Police Sgt. Feliberto Jimenez said two men in their 20s were at the Walmart at 1200 block of East Jackson Avenue around 10 p.m. Sunday night.

Jimenez said the two were kidnapped at gunpoint but were later found shot.

One of the alleged victims allegedly escaped and made it to an EMS station. The other was allegedly released from his captors.

Jimenez said one was in a local hospital in stable condition while the other one was already released from the hospital.

McAllen Police Sgt. Joel Morales said multiple suspects are in custody and being held questioning.
