A Brownsville municipal judge found himself on the opposite side of the law Tuesday night.

Brownsville police arrested Judge Phillip Bellamy for a disorderly conduct charge inside a Sam's Club store off Alton Gloor Boulevard and U.S. Expressway 77/83.

Investigators said Bellamy made threats during a domestic disturbance at his home around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said Bellamy went to Sam's after the incident and apparently threatened employees and even yelled obscenities at them.

Officers arrested Bellamy outside the store but he made bond this morning.
