Norteño star Ramon Ayala is out of a Mexican jail and back in the United States.

His manager is now telling reporters that the award-winning musician will hold a press conference to talk about his experience.

A specific day and time have not been set but Ayala manager Servando Cano told the Latin American Herald Tribune that the singer plans to hold a press conference as soon as he recovers from the ordeal.

Ayala and other musicians were jailed following a December 11th shootout at a Christmas party for the Beltran-Leyva drug cartel.

Mexican authorities released Ayala for health reasons but continue to investigate him for alleged links to organized crime and money laundering.

Cano would not disclose the health problem Ayala suffered from but said in a statement that the Hidalgo, Texas-based singer is back in the United States with his family.

Ayala’s manager said in the statement that the singer sends his thanks to “all the people who have offered prayers, to his fans and the musicians who have always been looking out for him.”
