BROWNSVILLE -- Two Brownsville siblings attended a local school, but never received their diploma.
Action 4 News spoke with siblings, Luis and Sylvia Cisneros, who just want answers as to why they haven't obtained their graduation certificate.
Luis and Sylvia attended South Texas Vo-Tech in Brownsville for 10 months and were promised a diploma at the completion of the course.
August 4th was their last day of class, and they claimed that they met all the necessary requirements, but were never told about their graduation ceremony.
“I went to the school and I’ve asked about 5 people and I got nothing answered,” Luis Cisneros said.
Its been 3 weeks since they finished the course.
Luis and Sylvia Cisneros are not alone.
They said that 20 other students in their class never received a diploma either.
Sylvia Cisneros said that she is having trouble finding a job without a diploma. “In my position, I’m unemployed and that certification is what employers want.”
Action 4 News called South Texas Vo-Tech and asked to speak to someone in charge of the graduation ceremonies, but nobody was available to speak on camera.
