Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark is sponsoring its first beach clean-up this Sunday, August 23rd on South Padre Island at Beach Access #5.
 
The event is from 8:00 a.m. until Noon.
 
The first 500 volunteers receive free tickets to enjoy the park the remainder of the day.

Strandfest, as the event is known, roughly translates to "beach party" a play on the company's German heritage themed name.

Pre-registration is available at Schlitterbahn's website.

Volunteers can simply show up at 8:00 a.m. at Beach Access #5 on the north end of the island to sign-up and help.
