UTB forum today on improving Latino education

BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS -- A forum involving so-called "community conversations" is scheduled for Tuesday with the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans.
The forum, sponsored by the University of Texas-Brownsville, is 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Education and Business Complex - Salon Cassia on the UTB campus.
The community is invited to a session from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The sessions will provide an opportunity to voice opinions on how Latino education can be improved and what the White House Initiative should be doing.
The schedule is as follows:
9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Session 1 Elected Leaders
10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Session 2 Business Leaders
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Session 3 Campus community
12:30 p.m.-1 p.m. Break
1 p.m.-3 p.m. Community Forum
