Two men arrested in Harlingen aggravated robbery

HARLINGEN, TEXAS -- Two men winded up in jail after allegedly trying to rob a convience store at gunpoint.

Harlingen police said early Saturday morning, 18-year-old David Garza and 24-year-old Mark Thornton walked into a Stripes convenience story on the 600 block of North 1st Street and threatened the clerk with a gun.

Someone inside the store managed to call police.

Police arrested Garza at the store, and he led officers to Thornton.

Both men are charged with aggravated robbery.
