Wild fans filled Buffalo Wild Wings in Harlingen as the restaurant broadcast the big game thanks to Action 4 News.

The game gave some hardcore Harlingen Cardinal fans a chance they didn't think they'd get.

“Oh my gosh, we’re just so excited,” said Harlingen High School alumni Gloria Rodriguez.

Rodriguez wasn’t able to get tickets to the game in Kingsville.

Instead Rodriguez tuned in to Channel 4.

“Cardinal spirit never dies,” said Rodriguez.

And that pride lives in little ones and those normally on the opposite team.

Some screaming gals in one Buffalo Wild Wings booth said they are students at Harlingen High School South.

With the screams came sales as spicy as the hot wings.

“We’ve gotten so many calls the day before and the day before that,” said a Buffalo Wild Wings server.  “I mean this place is like flooded more than I’ve ever seen before.

Management said they saw a big increase in to go orders.

They said because the game was broadcast on a local channel, they think people took the opportunity to pig out at home.
