Former Roma football coach accused of sexually abusing two teens

Former Roma High School Assistant Football Coach Ricardo Fernandez is facing criminal charges after being accused of sexually abusing two boys.

Roma police charged Fernandez with one count of indecency with a child and one count of criminal attempted sexual assault.

Investigator told Action 4 News that two male victims have come forward: one 16 years old one 17 years old.

The 16-year-old victim reported the sexual abuse back in July.

The second victim came forward in October.

The assistant coach resigned shortly after the second allegation was made.

Fernandez appeared before a municipal judge where he was issued $40,000 dollars in bonds.
