Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers received a tip on Thursday that led them to find the car that hit a bicyclist on Tuesday.

Authorities were looking for a Ford F-150 extended cab that was damaged on the front right side.

Troopers found the car on the 5700 block of Nardo Street.

They were able to contact the owner and obtain a search warrant for the vehicle.

The Tuesday night crash happened on Rogers Road and Hoehn Road.

The 63-year-old bicyclist that was hit had to have his leg amputated.

No arrests have been made at this time and the crash is still under investigation.
