Six gunmen killed in Rio Bravo shootouts

Six gunmen are dead following two shootouts with soldiers south of the border in Rio Bravo.

Mexico's Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA) confirmed that the two gunbattles happened Friday morning.

The first one took place in on Highway 82 in the Ejido Candido Aguilar around 9:45 a.m. Friday where two gunmen were killed.

Four gunmen died in a battle with soldiers off Rural Road 116 around 11 a.m. Friday.

Soldiers seized weapons, ammo and vehicles.

One of the trucks from one of the gun battles had a CDG, or Gulf Cartel logo on it.

Rio Bravo is located south of the border from Donna, Texas.
